Method
|
| Static & Sample |
The pump is shut off for one hour at which time a water level reading in the well is taken. The pump is turned back on, water is ran until a complete cycle of the pressure tank has occurred then the required samples are taken. TEST DURATION - 1.5 Hours with set-up/takedown |
| Samples Only |
Required samples taken after tank has cycled at least one time. TEST DURATION - 1 Hour test with set-up/takedown |
| Flowrate Only |
Used to test the flow rate of a well where access to well is restricted. Test completed with either a meter used or manually taken with 1 or 5 gallon container. TEST DURATION - 2.5 Hours with set-up/takedown. |
| 1 Hour Drawdown and 1 Hour Recovery |
The well is pumped for one hour, with well water levels and flow rates taken during drawdown, then the pump is shut off and the well is recovered for one hour with water levels taken. Test takes about 3 hours to complete. TEST DURATION - 3 Hours with set-up/takedown |
| 2 Hour Drawdown and 2 Hour Recovery. |
Same as one hour but doubled. TEST DURATION - 5 Hours with set-up/takedown |
| 12 Hour Drawdown and Recovery |
12 Hours pumped and 12 hours recovered, generally done with the above pump test unit and a transducer. Some municipalities require this test for waterwells drilled within their boundaries TEST DURATION - 28 Hours with set-up/supervision/takedown. |
| 24 Hour Drawdown and Recovery |
Same as 12 but doubled. TEST DURATION - 52 Hours with set-up/supervision/takedown. |
| NOTE: |
Above tests durations do not include travel time. Other tests can be arranged as required by Engineers or Hydrogeologists. |
